Antico Feudo San Giorgio

Discover a welcoming atmosphere, good food and unspoilt countryside at this 18th-century stone farmhouse run by Fabiola and Giancorrado.

  • Who are we?

Antico Feudo San Giorgio is an authentic, family-run holiday farm: a welcoming atmosphere, good food and unspoilt countryside make it ideal for families or groups of friends in search of relaxation, school groups interested in farm-based education activities, and also couples and tourists interested in exploring Sicily off the beaten track.

Giancorrado and Fabiola, owners and managers of Feudo San Giorgio, started renovating the 18th century complex in August 1999, keeping the original farming activities going, but transferring them to sheds located beyond the manor house walls. The first tourist season began in 2003, when the restoration of the left wing of the manor house was completed.

  • Numbers

Our 18th-century farmhouse has a total of 21 rooms divided into 15 accomodations. Our lodging capacity is 47 guests.

From their original use all of our units retain a simple and authentic yet comfortable appearance.

For private events the use of the swimming pool and the rest of the common areas is completely exclusive for the guests.

  • What can you expect?

The Madonie area, located in central Sicily, offers a variety of scenery, from the coast at Cefalu to the 2000m high Pizzo Carbonara. The flora and fauna are enchanting, and the breathtaking scenery will be printed indelibly on your memory.

The towns, though small, have preserved intact the architectural wonders which speak of thousands of years of conquest, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Strolling through their narrow streets, you can admire breathtaking views, small squares, fountains, churches, flights of steps carved from Madonian stone, and buildings of indescribable beauty.

  • What to do here?

Depending on the time you have available, full day excursions can be made to the large Sicilian cities of Palermo and Catania; in summer, you can visit the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento in the evening, to avoid the heat of the day; half day trips can be made to the Roman Villa at Piazza Armerina and to Caltagirone, famous for its beautiful ceramics.

There are several smaller places about an hour away from the Feudo; for example Caccamo, with a beautiful castle and reservoir where you can go waterskiing, the archaeological park at Himera with Greek temples, necropolis and antiquarium, or the Gal Hassin Astronomy Park at Isnello, the largest in the Mediterranean, which combines avantguard research with training activities, and which has a digital planetarium with a dome 10m in diameter.
